Round the world in too few days

Not a good day today, just spent 4 hours typing this update............. then just as we were about to save we managed to lose it! So apologies but with not enough time left to type it again it will have to be a quick one and we'll type it again when we get chance.

Been in the USA for 2 1/2 weeks now, cant believe how fast it has gone......... the first part of our trip is nearly over. We've manged to cram lots in thought and have barely stopped since we arrived. After a few days in SF getting used to the time difference (8 hours behind) and the strange feeling of not having to be anywhere, at anytime for anything!?!?! we headed off to Yosemite National Park for a few days, then through Death Valley and on to Las Vegas, visited all of the hotels and took a helicopter to the Grand Canyon for some amazing views and a night at the Grand Canyon West Ranch. Moved on to LA but as soon as we arrived decided we didn't like it so kept heading south to San Diego. Loved San Diego but after a couple of days it was time to head back to SF. Have been back here for 5 days now and really enjoyed it second time around.

Flying out to Fiji in 5 hours so hopefully will have plenty of time to re-type the email.

Not seen any rain yet.......... bet you all love that!!!!!

Well here we go!!!!! Managed to find a decent service to keep a log of our travels trip. It took me quite a while to find a 'Diary\Journal\Blog' that suited my needs but this one seems to tick all of the boxes........

I suppose the first thing to do is a brief introduction, not only in case any strangers find there way here but some people might not be up to date with my life! So here goes....

This journal is a record of my (Steve) trip around the world with my Girlfriend (Helen). We have been together for 11 years and in that time we have both worked pretty much flat out (me as a few things, Helen as a Vet) apart from the usual work permitted holidays.

We both grew up in Ashby-de-la-Zouch in the UK (although I arrived there via several places!) and we are now both in our thirties (JUST!!!!!!!!). We have a house together and a dog called Dex.

Since we've been together we have moved around the midlands a few times and have now ended up in a village just outside Ashby.

We've both given up our Jobs , rented out the House, persuaded someone to look after the dog and saved some (although we know already not enough!!!) money to go off on a trip around the world. Destinations are:

New Zealand Nort Island
New Zealand South Island
Australia
Singapore
Borneo
Malaysia
Thailand
